One recent case that truly highlights this was with one of our lovely young patients who began their orthodontic care with <strong>Invisalign First<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The patient presented with an unerupted <strong>upper left lateral incisor (UL2)<\/strong>. Given the tooth\u2019s prolonged absence from the arch, we sought a hospital opinion and arranged a <strong>CBCT scan<\/strong> to assess the position and health of the unerupted tooth and adjacent structures. The scan revealed a <strong>hooked root morphology<\/strong>, with no signs of <strong>external resorption or ankylosis<\/strong>, suggesting a <strong>mechanical failure of eruption<\/strong> rather than a pathological cause. These findings supported a conservative, non-surgical approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Together with the child and their supportive parents, we planned a phased treatment. <strong>Dr Angela Auluck<\/strong>, our <strong>Diamond Invisalign Provider<\/strong>, initiated <strong>Invisalign First<\/strong> to address developing crowding and arch form issues, while guiding the eruption of other teeth. This early intervention helps to create space, improve arch coordination, and intercept developing malocclusions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To preserve the aesthetics of the smile and support the patient\u2019s confidence, <strong>Dr Samir Patel<\/strong> placed a <strong>resin-bonded bridge<\/strong> to temporarily replace the missing lateral incisor.
